NEIGHBOR TO NEIGHBOR FOOD PANTRY
Neighbor to Neighbor provides free food to individuals and families on both an emergency and supplemental basis. While emergency clients are referred by numerous entities from the greater Greenwich area, our supplemental food clients are Greenwich residents qualified and referred by the Greenwich Department of Social Services.
The “client choice” food pantry allows our clients to select their own food based on nutritional guidelines and personal preferences. We have moved beyond cans and now also offer whole wheat bread, meat, 2% milk and fresh vegetables. By offering clients choices among nutritious foods we encourage them to feed their families well.
STATISTICS
- Neighbor to Neighbor gave out nearly 300,000 meals last year!
- 129,000 of those meals went to children
- 40% of the food is donated through individuals and organized food drives.
