Fairfield County Giving Day is an innovative way you can help support the important work of our local nonprofits. Our goal is to raise $1 million for hundreds of local nonprofits in just 24 hours!
Presented by the Fairfield County Community Foundation and funding partner Bank of America, Fairfield County Giving Day will take place on Friday, March 7.
Fairfield County Giving Day is a great way for you to support your favorite local cause and help area nonprofits compete for more than $100,000 in prize money. Awards range from $500 to $25,000 and every donation – whether $10 or $100 – makes a difference and can help your nonprofit win!
How it Works
Fairfield County Giving Day uses an innovative web-based online giving platform to create an easy, exciting way for you to make gifts to the important nonprofits in your community.
On the site, you can search for nonprofits to support in a variety of ways:
A list of all nonprofits meeting those search criteria will appear and you can learn more about them by clicking on the organization’s name.
Once you’ve made your choice, simply select “donate” next to the causes you would like to support and enter your donation amount and billing information.
You can make a donation to one nonprofit, or support several at once.
Prizes for Nonprofits
Your donation is multiplied when you make your gift on www.fcgives.org between midnight and midnight on March 7.
Your donation could help your favorite cause win a prize up to $25,000, or a $1,000 match.
Here’s how it works. Every donation made on Fairfield County Giving Day – whether $10 or $100 – counts as a point for the nonprofit in the competition. The nonprofit that receives the most number of donations wins $25,000! In addition, the first 25 nonprofits to raise $1,000 will receive a dollar-for-dollar match of $1,000!
The prizes are as follows:
Early Bird Prizes: Awarded at our launch event on March 7
Most Donations Received Prizes: Awarded at the end of Giving Day
Matching Awards: Awarded throughout the day
The first 25 nonprofits to raise $1,000 on Fairfield County Giving Day will receive a
dollar-for-dollar match of $1,000.
As our prize pool grows, so will the number and size of the competitive prizes – and
we’ll be expanding our $1,000 match to include more nonprofits!
Spread the Word!
Fairfield County Giving Day will be a great succes thanks to your help!
Beyond making a donation to your favorite nonprofit on March 7, be sure to help spread the word among your friends, family and colleagues.
